The design and build quality of this hand-grip are simply outstanding. It fits my new Fuji X100V perfectly and also fits the X100F the same way. In the past, I’ve acquired expensive camera half-cases simply to improve handling, but this grip does the same job better than a half case and for less than half the price. The reason for “better” is that this grip design offers an open space on the bottom left side into which the left thumb tucks securely to create left hand stability to balance off the right side grip extension. Also, this grip is much less bulky than any high quality half case. Finally, I suggest X100 owners also buy from Amazon the X100V Haoge thumb grip (black or silver) and you’ll have optimal X100 handling.

I normally only buy the Fuji hand grips but for some reason they didn’t release one for the X-T4. I decided to take a chance on this one as I have purchased JJC products before and they seem to be decent quality. This grip is high quality for very cheap but doesn’t quite fit the camera perfectly. The bottom plate doesn’t fully follow the contour of the camera in all spots like the Fujis do. The grip part does not sit against the camera grip snugly. There is a little bit of a gap so when you grasp it, the grip flexes to touch the camera. These are minor but noticeable issues. Overall, this is a nice grip for the price and I like it.Update: After using my camera on a tripod last night I noticed something else. The coating appears to be plain old paint unlike the powder coat on a Fuji. After only one use on the tripod the paint is scraped off of every place the ballhead touched on the grip. Bummer.

The cold shoe slot was left as machined which left sharp edges and corners which makes this very uncomfortable to grip. A few minutes with the Dremmel and a cratex wheel eliminates the issue and Alumablack makes it blend nicely… none of which should the customer have to do!

JJC has removed the Protective and Anti-Slip Rubber Strip from this product. I bought one two years back, and it had the Rubber, but now I’ve bought from two different sellers and the rubber has been removed. It not only protected the camera base, but it stopped it from slipping. I kept one, and put some Gaffers tape over it, but it does not Grip like the Rubber did. As much as I like JJC products, this was a mistake. I believe the Vello brand still has the strip on it, so I ordered one from B&H. ..why can’t these companies leave well enough alone? To save a penny of production costs?

This is my third gx9 grip and it’s definitely the best. I only wish the grip part was the exact same shape as the official Panasonic grip, which feels perfect, but the lack of access to the battery and card slot is too annoying on that grip. The metal bottom on this one is also Superior to the plastic official grip.I also bought a 3d printed grip that I will never use and is basically garbage. Too slippery, with a weird shape and all plastic. It did have cut outs for the battery/card but the official Panasonic was Superior in every other way.Anyway, this is the best, 4.5 stars. Would be perfect if the shape were a little different.

I like the extra finger room this extension provides and that it also allows access to the battery compartment on my Sony A7II. However, there are some edges that seem sharper then they need to be and that it doesn’t match the form and feel of the camera as well as I’d hoped it would. Still, I’ll use it and it will address the main problem of extending the finger grip.

only thing id change is match grip a little better. otherwise its perfect.
