The Fotoconic level head is a solid chunk of aluminum! Well machined for smooth operation. The set lever holds the level in-place, and the bubble level give reference. Both 3/8 and 1/4-20 since it includes the adapter. While I don’t have a more name brand unit in-hand to compare, this version is more than suitable for the task, and if you’re looking to save a few $$$, you’ll be even happier!
